Introductions
The Alexander Principle by Dr. W. Barlow, provides a very
sound exposition of the Alexander's work from a slightly medical
perspective.
Body Learning, by Michael Gelb, is a good all-round
introduction with excellent photographs.
In-Depth Approaches
The Use of the Self
, by F. M. Alexander, is the most
approachable of Alexander's four books and contains a great deal of extremely
useful material, especially Alexander's own description of the process he went
through to discover the principles on which his work is
based.
Indirect Procedures - A Musician's Guide to the
Alexander Technique by Pedro de Alcantara. Although written specifically
with the musician in mind, this book gives many helpful ideas and insights into
how to apply the Technique.
